The art of jewelry making has been around for centuries, and now jewelry making is being offered at MakerPoint Studios. Sandy Ilkenhons has graciously consented to teach three classes at MakerPoint Studios on jewelry making. She will begin with the design process: including balance, proportion, contrast, unity, harmony, movement and emphasis. These principles of design are used to arrange the elements (beads, components, etc.) in jewelry art, guiding the visual message of the piece. She will instruct the different methods of piecing the necklace until the piece is completed. The class fee of $39 will include all supplies needed to make your necklace. The two remaining classes will be a bracelet and earrings. The first class will be August 16th. So sign up for one or all three. We will all learn how to do it and take home a necklace to prove we can!
Please send and email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are still interested in taking the class. We'll let you now when we schedule another session.
